“ We had dinner, surrounded by lively birthday cheers from nearby tables. Next to us sat two ladies from New Zealand, also wrapping up their trip. We chatted briefly—they smiled and said, “You’re like mother and daughter meeting in the middle,” as I had come from Taiwan and my daughter from San Jose. They left early, and to our surprise, a staff member told us they had quietly paid our bill. ”

“ Family dinner here was very enjoyable. We arrived early with reservations so no waiting. Reservations had been made earlier that day. Our server was very attentive. She brought out our drinks promptly and made sure we had water throughout the meal. Our chef Chen was very engaging and made the meal so pleasant. We engaged in quite a bit of conversation with him and he seemed to enjoy that. I had a non alcoholic Mango Coloda which was very yummy! Family members enjoyed their alcoholic drinks as well. The salmon I had was superb!!! Very very fresh and cooked just right. I would definitely return to this establishment if ever I make it back to O'ahu! ”

“ Been to a few teppenyaki restaurants at this point so while I’ve seen most of the chef performances, I did like they made sure the onion ‘volcano’ was red chef joked with us and didn’t just fill us up on vegetables or rice. They had plenty of ice cream options too. I had to wave for water refills a few times but they always came quickly. ”

“ Great experience today, as always. My family and I went at about 4 p.m. and there was no wait to be seated. Our cook was awesome and our server was outstanding and very attentive. I have been here on many occasions and they never disappoint, even when they are busy. Everything is always cooked to perfection, and everyone is always so friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant. It will always be one of my favorites. ”

“ The food—EXCELLENT. Our waiter, Jack, and chef, Rey, were attentive and entertaining, respectively. And being right near the beach for the Friday night weekly fireworks at the nearby Hilton was perfect. If you are a group of 4 or more, you definitely need reservations, but since there were only two of us, we snuck in to fill a table that had a family of five already at it. We did not have to wait at the prime time of 6:30pm on a Friday night. I was disappointed that we were not served the initial clear onion soup like traditional hibachi restaurants; however, pleasantly surprised that we were given an ice scream dessert choice at the end. So it all balances out! We would go again. Very good food and big servings! ”

“ We went to Aoki Teppanyaki in Honolulu to celebrate my daughter Phoebe’s birthday. Our party of four ordered the Aoki Special and Seafood Deluxe, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our chef, PJ, was not only an incredible cook but also a true comedian! He made the dining experience so much fun with his great energy and entertaining skills. The service was excellent, and the staff was very attentive. Overall, we had an amazing time, and I highly recommend Aoki Teppanyaki to anyone looking for great food and a memorable experience in Honolulu! ”

“ This was a pretty good place of this type. Our chef (I believe his name was Park) was amazing and entertaining throughout. He also gave me more sauce on my meat when it didn’t have enough. The tricks were skillfully done, and the food is comparable to its competitors. Overall a great restaurant ”
